These terms operate in conjunction with individual Bill of Lading clauses, Charter Party agreements, and specific tank terminal leasing contracts. 1. Overview of Maritime Services

Chembulk Tankers provides international and domestic marine transport of liquid chemical components, crude oil, and refined petroleum products. Our operational purview covers trans-oceanic transit, ship-to-ship (STS) transfers, offshore vessel support, and specialized third-party tank farm allocations. All freight arrangements are conducted under strict enforcement of international maritime standards.

2. Carrier Liability & Marine Regulations

All maritime transportation services executed by Chembulk Tankers are regulated by international carrier guidelines, including the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act (COGSA) and the Hague-Visby Rules where applicable. Our liability for cargo loss, pressure deviations, or temperature-related product degradation is strictly capped according to statutory limitations, unless specialized declarations are formally filed and supplemental insurance premiums are executed prior to vessel loading.

We maintain no liability for transit delays, route dynamic optimizations, or vessel diversions resulting from Force Majeure incidents, severe weather cycles (such as tropical storm corridors), port congestion, or mandatory maritime security directives issued by international port authorities.

3. Hazardous Materials & Compliance Directives

Shippers and charterers are strictly required to provide comprehensive, verified Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and accurate chemical profiling declarations for all cargo intended for loading. Absolute compliance with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and the International Bulk Chemical (IBC) Code is mandatory across our global network.

Misdeclared or non-compliant hazardous materials can lead to catastrophic environmental or structural failures. Shippers assume full, uncapped liability for any port penalties, cleanup expenditures, asset contamination, or vessel damage resulting from trace contamination or undisclosed chemical traits. Chembulk Tankers preserves the immediate right to refuse or discharge any cargo deemed unstable or structurally non-compliant with our stainless-steel tank ratings.

4. Tank Farm Storage & Demurrage Clauses

Storage capacity leased at our tank farm facilities is governed by designated volumetric thresholds and strictly monitored timeline durations. Free-time thresholds for loading and discharging are clearly outlined in our spot storage contracts and charter agreements. Demurrage charges accumulate continuously upon the expiration of designated laytime limits at the loading or discharging berths.

Clients retain final accountability for evacuating their products from our terminal storage tanks upon contract termination. Chembulk Tankers preserves standard maritime possessory liens against any stored liquid volume to offset unpaid freight costs, terminal handling fees, or accumulated storage demurrage charges.

5. Security, Retention & Data Handling

We process all operational logistics telemetry, vessel scheduling data, and chemical product specifications securely. Digital data captured through our radar and servo gauge storage tracking portals is protected by robust corporate access protocols, preventing unauthorized distribution of critical market or supply chain insights.
